Following a 200 year old family tradition of blacksmithing, Don now employs 10 people at his forge based in York, England. The Company is renowned for its traditional hand forged wrought ironwork, its ecclesiastical ironwork and its bespoke modern ironwork.

We also specialise in the restoration of antique ironwork and the faithful reproduction of all types of antique metalwork.. We have a gate automation division which manufactures and installs automatic gates with optional intercoms and ancillary equipment.

Pure iron is a newly available material which we stock in bar and sheet form. It is very easy to forge and repoussé work can be carried out cold without the need to anneal. It is particularly useful for armourers and can even be used by hobbyists and amateurs. Please visit our sister web site at http://www.pureiron.com where you can learn all about it.
