The leaf on the left is an original taken from an eighteenth
century panel. The matching leaf from the other side of the panel was
missing and had to be reproduced. The original leaf pattern was taken
using a replication process developed 'in house' and drawn on computer.
The leaf was then cut from 1mm thick pure iron sheet by a computer
controlled laser profile cutter. The repoussé
work was done cold which is
possible with pure iron and the bright silver finish is typical of the
material.
